This award was presented at the COMSATS Projects & Career Expo 2018 (Evaluated by IBM) in the Android category.
Our Android-based software solution tackled key problems faced by students in their daily lives. The project consisted of four modules designed to enhance student experiences: A ride-sharing module, a Room-sharing module, a Book-sharing module, and an Accessories-sharing module.
Bachelor's in Software Engineering
In 2019, I successfully graduated from COMSATS Islamabad, Pakistan, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering. This rigorous program spanned four years, commencing in 2015, and equipped me with comprehensive knowledge and skills in the field.
Master's in Computer Science
In 2021, I successfully completed my Master’s degree in Computer Science from Kyungpook National University in Daegu, South Korea. This two-year program in Computer Science provided me with valuable insights into state-of-the-art technologies and equipped me with the necessary research methodologies. It has not only expanded my knowledge but also instilled in me the confidence to pursue a PhD degree, furthering my academic journey in the field of Computer Science.
Other Achievements
Best Daegu Global Supporter (2020)
In 2020, I had the privilege of being selected as one of the 30 international students and professionals representing the entire Daegu/Gyeongbuk province as a Daegu Global Supporter. As part of this campaign, our responsibility was to showcase the tourist attractions in the province by posting captivating pictures and videos on social media, providing insightful details about its various attractions for a continuous period of 6 months. In recognition of my exceptional performance and dedication, I was honored with the Best Daegu Global Supporter Award.
Best Daegu Global Supporter (2021)
In 2021, I was again awarded as the Best Daegu Global Supporter in the Video category. As part of this role, my task involved creating and sharing vlogs that highlighted the captivating aspects of Daegu/Gyeongbuk province. Through my vlogs, I aimed to provide viewers with an immersive experience of the province’s unique attractions, cultural heritage, and hidden gems. This opportunity allowed me to showcase the beauty and charm of Daegu/Gyeongbuk to a wider audience on the YouTube platform. Some Vlogs were later uploaded to my Youtube Channel as well.
4th Place in Video Competition (2022)
In the video competition organized by the Brain Korea project in South Korea, my submitted video secured fourth position among participants from all over the country. That was the first time an international student had achieved a place in the Top 8 category. The video focuses on highlighting the challenges faced by students studying at universities in South Korea.
Best Video Award (2023)
In 2023, my video entry for the ‘UCC Contest,’ organized by the Diversity Council of Kyungpook National University in South Korea, received the Best Video Award. The video focuses on shedding light on the challenges encountered by Muslim students during their academic journey. By highlighting these issues, I aimed to raise awareness among relevant authorities, urging them to address these difficulties and explore potential solutions.
Grand Prize Winner (2023)
In 2023, I achieved the Grand Prize in the Video Contest hosted by the Human Rights Center at Kyungpook National University, South Korea. My entry was honored with the Best Video award. The video’s central theme revolves around shedding light on the difficulties encountered by students attending universities in South Korea, and it is noteworthy that I was the sole foreign participant among the awardees.
2nd Position in Archery Competition (2023)
In 2023, I embarked on a journey to learn traditional Korean Archery. What began as a thrilling adventure turned into a valuable learning experience. At the conclusion of our training, a competition brought together all participants, and I proudly secured the 2nd position.
Before enrolling, I thought I’d simply aim and shoot the arrow, but after taking this course, I’ve come to realize the importance of the foundational stages and the time it takes to learn them as incorrect shooting techniques can be potentially harmful.
This experience has taught me that sometimes we believe that only achieving a goal, no matter by what means, is the ultimate success. However, if we don’t pay attention to using the right approach to reach that goal, we can end up causing irreversible harm to ourselves.
